Joe Santos, Director and Professor of Economics, to Present at Fall Directors & Management Conference
Joe Santos, Director and Professor of Economics at the Ness School of Management and Economics at SDSU, will be presenting at the 2024 Fall Directors & Management Conference!
In his presentation titled “Price Stability, Full Employment, and the Supply of Credit,” Joe will examine the critical relationship between economic stability, employment levels, and credit supply. Santos will discuss how these factors interact within the broader economy and the role financial institutions play in supporting sustainable growth. He will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities that arise as community banks contribute to maintaining stable prices, ensuring full employment, and facilitating access to credit.
About Joe Santos
Joseph M. Santos directs the Ness School of Management and Economics at South Dakota State University, where he is a professor of economics and leads the Dykhouse program in Money, Banking and Regulation. Joe’s research includes measuring the burdens of financial regulation and the credibility of monetary policy. Joe earned his Ph.D. in economics from Rutgers University.
